BOOK V - THE YOUNG STAG COMING IN FALL OF 2026

Forest With Tall Trees

NEWLY RECORDED AND RELEASED IN 2026!

The great warrior Bran is called home from the battlefield to his mother's deathbed. He vows to solve the mystery of what fatally attacked her in the night, for though many have dismissed it as a wolf attack, she insisted with her dying breath it was not.

On his journey for answers, Bran encounters the fiery prophetess Lucia and her strangely-gifted stable boy, Gwion, both of whom will loom large in his future.

Upon returning home with the terrifying truth about the threat they are facing, Bran finds himself at odds with the hot-tempered Aelhaearn, determined to become their clan's next chieftain.

Fate will wind tightly together as they attempt to defeat the creator of their nocturnal enemies—a creator who is patiently pulling all who oppose her deep into the seductive maelstrom of her power.

Fated lovers. New enemies.

In the aftermath of the Battle of the Crossroads, Bran convinces the few warriors who remain to gather their families and live as one clan under his leadership. Together, they abandon their villages and unite under a new sigil—the Sacred Oak of the Crossroads—no longer referring to themselves as Easterners, Northerners or Southerners, but simply as “Oaks.”

With his clan and their new village well-established, Bran asks Lucia to leave the Isle and be his queen, leaving her with a difficult choice to make—to become a Priestess of the Isle or Queen of the Oaks. Her response leads Bran to a decision that threatens to destroy not only his honor, but the future prosperity of his people.

Unknown to either of them, the birth of a wee golden child, abandoned and set adrift in the sea, has set in motion a series of events that threaten to destroy the Oaks completely, and will take them on a journey to realms in both this world and the next.

Flames Against Black

The scope widens. The stakes rise.

The last of the Romans have left Britannia, leaving ruthless men to seize power and rip the land asunder. Without the discipline of Rome to stop them, relentless Pictii come down from the North to raid her settlements, and boatloads of Saxons pillage her shores.

Grown soft with nearly five generations of Roman order, most men in Brython are unable to defend their homes against these threats, both from within and without. But there is hope. Emrys and Uthyr, the two youngest sons of Constantine, the last great Roman leader in Britannia, have come of age and return to Brython to avenge their father and reclaim his usurped throne.

Along with their strange druid advisor, Myrthin Wyllt, they lead a campaign to unite the clans of Brython against the tyranny of her enemies, vowing to restore the peace and order once enjoyed under Rome's protection.

Bran knows the war for Brython is far larger than any one clan can hope to win alone. He pledges fealty to Emrys and his obligations thicken. His strength and loyalty are put to the test as he struggles to meet the mounting demands of his country, clan, and family, as well as those of his otherworldly master, Arawn, who has daunting plans of his own for him.

New and unlikely alliances are forged while old enemies churn forth new grievances, testing the limits of every relationship. All struggle to meet their responsibilities within the chaos surrounding their homeland, but remain hopeful they will succeed in putting a just king on the throne who will usher in a new age free of terror and tyranny.

Dark Abstract Texture

Darkness descends.

Taliesin escapes Affalon to discover things in the world are much changed. Uthyr Pendragon has taken Gorlois’ widow, Igerna, as his wife, and elevated Caer Leon to its former Roman glory. Peace may be short-lived, however, for rumours abound that Octa, son of Hengist, is alive and raising forces overseas, even though he was believed to have been executed in front of thousands at Uthyr’s victory games in Caer Lundein.

That is not all Taliesin learns from Uthyr. He discovers Nimue has left Affalon as well, traveling under her mortal name of Viviaine, and has allied herself with Myrthin. Sick with the bitterness of her betrayal, he races north to warn Arhianna, only to discover she has set off on a journey of her own. In his efforts to find and protect her, he strays into an ever-more complicated labyrinth of deceit, fraught with danger and sorrow he is unprepared for.

Arhianna still remembers nothing of Knockma. Redevoted to her husband, she leaves Mynyth Aur and follows him into Saxon territory in search of his clan, knowing he shall never be content until he learns what has become of his people. Her decision changes her fate in drastic ways, sending her on a journey that takes everything from her but her will to survive.

Meanwhile, Igerna grapples with whether or not to tell Uthyr about the mystery surrounding her unborn child, for she knows the truth could cost her everything. Though they do not yet know it, all of them have an immense role to play in the great wars to come; wars that threaten to take far more from the clans of Brython than their fortresses, fields and forests. Should they fail, their enemies will wipe out their gods and stories, ancient rites and sacred places, leaving nothing in their wake but the history they choose to write across their trampled bones.

A Twin Hope Emerges.

Arhianna begins her training at Dun Scáthach, where restored memories throw her into a perilous tailspin with deadly consequences.

Taliesin, desperate to gain the skills required to defend his loved ones against the ancient powers stalking them, commits to apprentice under Amergin the Bard. His journey takes him far from Caer Leon, leaving Igerna to bear the heavy secret of Morgen’s parentage alone.

Igerna raises Morgen as twin sister to her only son, Arthur. Twins are auspicious, and the people of Caer Leon rejoice that their king and queen have been so blessed. As the years pass, however, Morgen’s birthright emerges, inciting gossip and fear. As her supernatural abilities become increasingly harder to disguise, Igerna fears for her daughter's safety and takes matters into her own hands.

As Morgen and Arthur come of age, the wheel of fate sends them in separate directions. Once outside the safety of Caer Leon, those seeking to influence the pair close in quickly--some well-intentioned, others ruthless and opportunistic.

Arthur is catapulted into the position he was born to fulfill, though not in the way anyone expects. Morgen, too, rushes toward her destiny, driven by the very people who have tried most desperately to protect her from it.

In the end, Arthur and Morgen stand together on the precipice of immense power, drawing all into their orbit as they step into the roles that will inspire the songs and stories of Britain for centuries to come.
